Description:
Margaret Bourke-White loved heights and early in her career, she was known for her industrial photography. The Chrysler Building was completed in May 1930 and is considered a particularly beautiful example of the Art Deco style. The building was briefly the world’s tallest man-made structure. The Chrysler Building includes great stainless steel eagle gargoyles, and Bourke-White, who had a studio on the building’s 61st floor, posed atop one of them in another famous photograph. This is a platinum print. |
