This photograph is from the cover story published in the January 25, 1954 issue of LIFE, entitled, “Diane Sinclair, she dances out movies on TV.” In the 1930s, Diane Sinclair was a featured dancer/actress in a number of motion pictures. In 1949 and 1950, the dance team of Diane Sinclair and Ken Spaulding was featured on the popular television program "Kay Kyser’s College of Musical Knowledge" which aired on NBC. From 1951 – 1953 the dance partners were featured on another television show, "The Paul Winchell and Jerry Mahoney Show." In 1952, they also appeared on "Toast of the Town," which later became known as "The Ed Sullivan Show."
