Description:
Loengard says about this photograph in his book "As I See It," "Marilyn Monroe had been asked to take part in the cornerstone laying ceremony at a new Time & Life Building in New York City. Of course, at high noon on Sixth Avenue, Venus herself would look ordinary, so being next to a screen goddess had not been a big deal. But at one point, a construction worker peeked in behind Monroe, then ducked away. He turned an artificial moment into a real one. Pictures of the incident appeared in the Daily News and the Journal-American, but this one was only noticed, three decades later, by my son Charles."
